This poor girl made a string of very poor decisions, starting with traveling to Miami alone. She's dead now, all could have been avoided.

Bingo. I want my daughter to realize what's going on and LEAVE if the crowds are like that. I also don't want her doing drugs, period, and especially not taking unknown drug from unknown people.
I hate to say it, but I suspect this girl was right where she wanted to be, and paid with her life for a fetish.

I'll never understand the stupidity it takes to use stolen credit cards at stores. Even if they didn't mean for her to die they drugged, raped, and robbed her. Are they too dumb to realize security cameras will catch them using the cards?

I'm not so sure that is the victim. Those are the murderers. But looking in the Twitter thread I think the actual victim was white.

This. I've seen the pictures of Miami and no way in hell would I be out partying in that sea of culture.
I did Spring Break the right way. A week in Ft Walton with 10 other kids from my class crammed into a Holiday Inn or some other equally crappy hotel. On the beach we'd hang with other kids from our high school or other area high schools that weren't known for trash kids (Jesuit, Brother Martin, Dominican, Sacred Heart, Newman etc) and party all week.
No one went to Spring Break alone and we certainly wouldn't have hung out with anyone that looked like those guys

It’s just like the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival. When I was younger it was family fun but it’s overrun now.
