quote:

A student at Southern University at New Orleans was shot Wednesday (March 30) at a campus housing complex, New Orleans police said.

I know it has nothing to do with this story/link, but the place needs to be shut down or at the least merged with UNO right down the block.

SHUT IT DOWN.

From 2011:
quote:

The graduation rate at Southern University at New Orleans has inched up by 3 percentage points -- from 5 percent to 8 percent -- but it still is the lowest for any public historically black college in the country and the second-lowest of any urban public college, new federal figures show.

By student do you mean leech who was most likely enrolled just to pocket pell grant money after dropping out mid semester?

Shooter probably just saw the stat that 96% of their students never graduate and had to take out his anger.

Some would throw out a joke in a poor taste that the shooter and victim probably had a combined ACT score of 24.

I wonder if there's a SUNO rule where if you get shot you automatically pass that semester. Seems like this would be a common problem.

Just burn it and use the real estate for something positive.

Like a facility that turns homeless people into food.

I'll never forget being in orientation with some guys talking about what kind of rims they were gonna get with their money. Never saw those guys again.

SUNO is the prime example of all that is wrong in the black community and precisely why it will never be fixed

They call roll in class nowadays to figure out how many Pell Grant people dropped mid way through the semester.

Well that escalated quick ....

And the graduation rate is is ... To call it 'abysmal' would be being too nice.... But to just come out and throw this blanket statement on top of a kid that just got shot is bad form to say the least.....

You wouldn't happen to be a trump supporter are you Geauxt? Not judging

How do you think the grad rate jumped from 5 to 8%?

Can you help me out here Geauxt?

I know the black community is dealing with unusual high crime rates. Majority of the poverty per capita. High birth rates absent nuclear family. Sky-high incarceration rates.....

So there are many many problems, but where does SUNO become the prime example? Are we talking about different problems?

Also Geauxt, I'd love to see your ideas of how the problems you lost van or should be addressed/fixed,

I don't know about all that is wrong in the black community but SUNO certainly represents corruption and the lack of balls our elected officials have to do the right thing in the face of being called racist(ie. close this shite stain down).

Why would I be deflecting?

I just asked a question.

I have no beef in this. I give zero fricks about SUNO
