I can't go anywhere without my sunglasses. Call me dependent. It even makes driving in the rain easier.
Same here. I started wearing them When I had cataracts. I couldn't see to drive without them. After surgery, the doctor told me to wear some 100% uv blocking sunglasses while recovering, plus was sensitive to bright lights.

I find direct ocular shade from a baseball cap or visor to be more effective than sunglasses.
That's only because you have grasped the concept of wearing a hat with a visor/brim. Unlike so many of the doofuses of the world who wear them backwards, or even worse, with the visor covering one of their 2 ears "cause de' be cool".

Guess you could make the same claim for A/C. For many thousands of years people lived without A/C in hot climates and survived.
Once you get used to it, you get dependent on it and are miserable without it.

I'd rather keepy perfect vision and low light visibility. Only way I'd quit wearing them is if I became a pirate.

I’ve been addicted to Chapstick for 20+ years. Cannot leave the house without it and if I accidentally do I have to stop and buy some. It’s oppressive. I warned my son against it and now he’s the same way!

If I could wear sunglasses all day and night even indoors I would.

I don't really wear them while outside, just driving. When I'm doing yardwork, I wear clear protective glasses because I don't want stuff flying in my eyes while mowing and weed eating.

Driving directly into the setting sun, skiing with the glare from snow, beach.

This is going to blow your mind, but some people wear a hat (correctly) and ALSO wear sunglasses.

Sunglasses are a scam
Sunglasses do not let people see where my eyes are looking and they deny several key points of reference to facial recognition software.

But your eyes can recover. You can be like a child again running on a beach directly into the sun, completely unbothered.
This is a PSA. I am 6 months clean if you are looking for support
Go f**k yourself. I am never giving up my sunglasses.

I do this only while playing golf. Mainly because I’m trying to track my ball and have to quickly look up and sometimes into sun. So a hat alone doesn’t help.

Watch what you tell this bunch; you may cause widespread blindness throughout tRant.

But what if I look really, really cool wearing them?

(Nice informative post btw)
Caution: Eyes may look directly at the sun only at daybreak when the sun is red/orange. Even at that, do it slowly (look it up, baws.) Normal / non-direct sunlight to the eyes and skin is great ( It is God's healing.)
Sunglasses? For driving or safety or style is fine.
So once again we note "Science" and our culture misleading us. Their advisory for sunglasses AND sun-screen for "skin safety" has been depriving us our much-needed natural sunlight for healing. Nearly everything Rockefeller science and meds have been WRONG. Moderate UV doesn't cause cancer; it guards against it.
Has this been just one huge reason the Overlords have been whiting out the skies ws.ith aerosoling chemicals?
Folks ought to also look into 'Red Light Therapy' -- it's a thing, UV Light it turns out is HEALTHY for us.

This seems to be going poorly looking at the ratio. More lashing out in denial than I expected.
The ratio is surprising not so bad actually; The info is great and important. I purposely stare indirectly into the sunlight and only wear shades when I'm driving.
Any "lashing out" comes with the territory. Many Baws are resistent to new info. It is what it is.

One word - Cataracts
Fallacy we've all been led to believe.
UV sunlight doesn't create it; it's purifying effect and light frequency helps prevent it.

This thread is why 40 year olds have crows feet and look like they're 60. What a bunch of pussies.
