33,538 tests (~11.5% positive)
48 deaths
-43 hospitalizations
-13 vents
Doesn't appear to have any duplicates found/removed today. Might be only a weekly activity.

Going back to see if I can find what date those deaths are attributed to. I'd be interested to know how different the lag in deaths v hospitalizations is.
Deaths can be back dated up to at least 5 days. Hospitalizations may be more real time.
20th 32 (+1)
21st 27 (+5)
22nd 27 (+3)
23rd 17 (+15)
24th 11
25th 3
10 deaths reported today occured 7 or more days ago.

You know, I don't know who to say it to but if BEDS aren't really the issue, as LDH website as well as a DHH linked posted previously show, I wish the "administration" would say that STAFFING is the issue ... beds ARE available statewide. You might not get one in YOUR town but you WILL get one somewhere.
You can't take a labor & Delivery nurse and put them in an icu -- you just can't. THAT SAID, there should have been some intensive cross training/educating going on.

What does the death rate look like? Is it trending up or down?

The average age in the nursing home where I consult was like 80.4 years old. Can't tell you specifically but many had underlying conditions.
