That is an exceptional point, man. That is a game-changer financially for years to come

beats having a fall wedding and having to try and remember my anniversary between drunk saturdays. No less having to take the wife out for a nice meal on a saturday night in the fall.

Just a heads up, if you get married in the summer and your wife will want anniversary trips every year (I promise she will), the price tag on those trips is much higher than any other time of the year.

I certainly didn't consider that when I made my mistake.

This is true, but we have always limited our anniversary trips to smaller weekend getaways.

This year since we have an infant we just got a babysitter and did a brunch.

Fall is perfect time to travel for anniversary trip.

Prices cheaper. Kids in school so beaches aren’t packed with families.

Besides...my husband loves college football(he can’t stand any SEC team)....but isn’t obsessed over it. He doesn’t let it dictate his schedule.

End of May wedding here. Part of the reception and dance floor was in a huge tent in the back yard of the house with 4 big portable 20 ton ac units. Didn’t even break a sweat, but glad I wasn’t writing checks for it

He’s not from the South...so why would he care about the SEC?

Do you care about the PAC-12?

Late December wedding. My anniversary present doubles as a Christmas present

Why does everyone hate weddings?

Getting dressed up, sitting in church, mediocre food, people you don't care about.

I can't imagine why people don't like weddings.

was all for it, but we did it in Montana, not Louisiana.

It worked the best for people that had to travel.

That’s awesome.

I went to a wedding in Jackson Hole in the summer a few years back. In the mountains would be the exception of having a summer wedding.

I had a Christmas season wedding this past year and it was perfect. After football season and before It got really cold and wet.

Anyone who has an outdoor wedding in Louisiana between the months of May-August has a special spot in hell saved for them.

I was vehemently opposed. So in the spirit of marriage we compromised and got married in the summer

Better than football season

This X 1,000,000 because that also means hunting season as well. There is some wiggle room for Sept and maybe Oct but when you creep a wedding into Nov, you deserve to not have anybody show up or vacate the entire reception to go watch football.

This also applies to having kids during the same time although that really only applies to the dude who has zero pull out control.
