Meh, it's an easy way to at least minimize it to some degree.
agreed. they can't just sit on their asses and do nothing about it. especially when it's loud and clear on tv what they're saying.

Sure, but completely irrelevant in scope and substance to this issue.
my point was that chanting different lyrics to songs isn't limited to just one section of the crowd.

Oh really?
Really?......you wouldn't just call the National office of a fraternity based on rumor? Causing a national rep to come down and gut a local chapter by more than 50% of its membership? 125 guys take a drug test and all but 1 pass it? Not to mention character assassination of a lot of legitimately good people.....
No Angela. You wouldn't do that.

Drunk coon arse students, 18-22 years old, yelling obscenities...blasphemy.
I do agree LSU needs to get rid of the Student organization only sections. Or at least down size it. When I was a student it was half empty, looks like that has never changed.

the Greek section is right by the primo season ticket sections. I imagine some old folks and families with kids get a little mad

Containing sections 105, 106 and 221-224, the reserved section is situated above where all LSU athletic recruits and families sit during their official visits.
“It gets to the point where [recruits’ families] are asking us at the games,” Nunez said. “It’s supposed to be more of an entrusted group because they’ve earned an opportunity to receive these blocks. If they can’t help us in the process of trying to attract these young individuals to come to LSU, we have an issue.”

I'd say less than 10% is generous.

The chant is awful and needs to stop, but I also don't think people in the Greek section are the only ones doing it.

but sounds like the admin is going for the easy pickins - it's a lot easier to target and threaten the reserved groups than the general student population
yep, exactly.

I've set on every side of Tiger Stadium, and you can hear "Suck That Tiger Dick Bitch" from High School kids, adults, students, greeks, coon asses, sidewalk fans.
A lot of people are guilty in this matter

Because she won't even entertain the idea that non fraternity members can be trouble makers as well.
I interpreted that as her defending the Greeks and saying that it was ridiculous to not even discuss other students. I don't think she was saying that the Greeks are solely responsible.

This can't be. The students on this board always argue that all tickets are used the students just all crowd into the lower sections and it just looks like there are seats open.
yeah, and that's bullshite

She added the meeting carried with it an inference that reserved seating could be abolished
This is the real reason LSU is targeting the Greek Section.
Those are great seats.
They could make ALOT more money by selling those seats to season ticket holders.
Its easier to say:
"we're abolishing the greek section due to profanity, they will have to sit in the student section like everyone else"
than:
"we're taking away student section tickets."
Majority of the students would be ok with greeks losing tickets anyway
So LSU gets rid of the Greek seats, adds a couple sections to the student section "since alot of seats arent used anyway," and make a ton of money from selling Greek seats as regular seats.
Its all a conspiracy man
In fact, I wouldnt be surprised if LSU allowed the band to play the banned songs in the last 2 home games just to "catch the Greeks in the act" so that they would have reason to pull their seats.
