I can assure you asymptomatic positives are not self quarantining for 14 days
Testing serves no purpose at this point unless you are sick or elderly

who made the litigant go to the prom? The litigant knew there was high risk there would be some infected attendees.

Insane.
I'll bet there were multiple kids at that prom with COVID.
They just aren't tested.

We encounter positive people constantly.

I'm with Cosmo on this.
We need to stop testing low risk people.

Why? Do you think things will be any better?
Covid is going to be around for several years.

Complete nonsense that you would want criminal consequences for non-sick people just going about their lives.

the mom was positive, which makes it likely the daughter was positive...which she was

infected with CV-19 means they're sick, not "non-sick"

I'm not sure you know what the words "sick" and "infected" actually mean.

Wouldn’t you have to test every kid & their parents & siblings to prove it was THAT mom that passed the virus?

Welcome to working in a school in general. I had to fight with a parent last year that sent her kid in with a verified case of Whooping Cough

I remember going to my brother's graduation and this guy in his class getting some sort of award for having perfect attendance for 13 year of school. This included at his K-8 school and his high school years. My brother had gone from K-12 with this kid and knew him really well. In fact, at one point, we had carpooled with the kid.

I asked my brother about it because I just wondered if the kid just had some sort of super immunity system to the point where he never got sick.

My brother said the kid had gone to school sick as a dog on several occasions. But, his mom was obsessed with both of her kids having perfect attendance so she made them both go to school no matter how sick they were or what they had. Apparently, it was the mom who petitioned (and insisted) on the kid getting that award at the graduation ceremony and the brothers were just tired of dealing with her so they gave her what she wanted.

This. Every kid that went to prom took on the risk the could catch it. They took on the risk they could spread if they catch it. Covid isn’t illegal.

that would be a defense. causation would be the issue

doesn't mean the mom can't be sued. just means there is a strong defense within the suit

being infected with CV-19 means you are sick

you're having issues with symptomatic v. asymptomatic

just because you're asymptomatic doesn't mean that you're not sick. it just means you don't feel sick

muh feelings
