Holy frick. How dare people keep the dollars they earned.
BTW, you idiot, if they hoard all the money until they die then... you inherit it.
But instead you want them to just give it to you now. You are one of those people who complain about your parent's cash being "your money" that you
somehow deserve.

Correct, they just changed the rules of the game on programs like these to frick them up for everyone else

You're too dumb to pour piss out of a boot and just go around whining and crying and blaming everything in the world on every group but the one responsible.
There’s a difference between whining and observing what is going on in the world around you and how that may impact you, either directly or indirectly.
What you are doing is whining because you are spouting off a bunch of nonsense and name calling

My Dad (Boomer) on the other hand is the absolute fricking worst and will find any excuse he can to not tip. Last time we went out to eat he tried to skip out on tipping the waitress because he didn't think his frozen margarita had enough salt around the rim. It's embarrassing as hell and we usually have to throw in the tip to compensate.
Is he rude to their face? Or this was just to y'all?
Because I've walked out on people, paid at the bar, and gone home for the former.
The latter, I might deal with every once in a blue moon, but honestly that makes for a shite dinner when we are supposed to be enjoying each other's company so it wouldn't take many tries for me to walk out on that person too.

You think boomers were leading the way in the late ‘60s/70s when the post WW II industrial boom was winding down and the country was in the midst of a recession? Blame the unions. They got greedy and what was left of the domestic manufacturers at the point could no longer compete.
That’s not when U.S. manufacturing collapsed
It started in the 80s and 90s when you were sold free trade and that all your stuff would be cheaper by letting China make it.

I tell my students we will always need people who can push a shovel well, build cabinets, and run an electric wire.
I agree but maybe substitute the "push a shovel well" one out and it might sound more appealing.

Thats a "you" problem. Get a better job. If you can't, maybe your aren't capable in which case you are where you deserve to be.
You sound like you want it all handed to you without any effort. Aint happening.
No matter how much you bitch or who you bitch about.

“No you can’t build more homes it’ll decrease my property value”
“No we don’t need more investments into infrastructure I like the way the city looks now”
“No you can’t change the zoning here it’ll decrease my property value”
“Why are my taxes paying for that school my kids don’t go there they’re in private school let’s make our own district”
“Oh wow they’re building a new development and my property value will decrease we need to sue to stop it”
Also
“Wow you think this is selfish because I value my property it’s not my fault home prices are high”

I don't get this. There are new neighborhoods popping up all over the place all of the time.

It was a gradual thing. But blame it on boomers if that makes you happy.

Damn those boomers and that big drop in 1945.

Depends where you live but even still they have to go through hell just build.
America doesn’t build enough homes to match it’s population growth so it’s still not enough

He won't do it openly towards the waitress/waiter. He'll start complaining to us about halfway through the meal about whatever horrible transgression he thinks the waitress/waiter has committed. And then he'll be like "Yeah, I'm not leaving a tip for that". And it's always really minor shite, like not enough salt on his drink rim. Another time it was he didn't come often enough for his liking to refill his drink (my drink was never empty). Never gives the person an opportunity to correct things if it's something that needs to be fixed.

We almost never take him out anywhere because of it at this point. Like you said, it makes for a miserable dinner. And I'm an adult that doesn't have to put up with that shite.
