The OP.
There's no helping you. There is no proof that masks are worse for you anywhere in any of that. It's what you tell yourself so you can piss and moan anytime anyone suggests you wear one.

that wearing them incorrectly is better than not wearing them at all. “Common sense”.
Is this where you've moved the goalposts now? Regardless, you still need to show some.sort of actual data to back up your claim that it is worse than no mask

You set the goalposts, sweetheart.

As I thought, you have literally nothing. But you were one of the loudest that this was all ajoke back in early March, so it's expected

There is no scientific evidence they are effective in reducing the risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission
We need to preserve the supply of surgical masks for at-risk healthcare workers.

Here is my take in March when I first started posting about it.

I don’t think me saying take steps to protect the elderly is calling it a joke.

Take steps to protect the elderly. As far as the rest of us, there’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to go about things as usual taking steps we would normally take if we caught a virus. Stay home and chill till it’s over. Wash hands. Etc. that alone keeps this thing from killing hundreds of thousands which is apparently what every panicked bitch seems to think.

Yep, that one post was the only discussion you ever had on the subject.
That one post almost 600 pages in

You’re welcome to search for more.

The hamsters couldn't handle it. You seriously aren't going to at least own your stances on this pandemic?

I aware. But that was hundreds of posts by you, plus what you did in other threads.
Here's a couple highlights to refresh your memory

That should not cause a school to close. People have lost their fricking mind.

This obviously isn’t as serious as the reactions to it continue to be and certainly not from a month ago. I’m sure most of the guys here mean well and are rational. Hell, Project and I get along really well but his reaction to the St Louis dad was nonsensical. This is just causing people to act like idiots.
quote:quote:
That means we are looking at about 1 million U.S. cases by the end of April
That first one was your first post in the thread is hilarious honestly.
And inb4 you claim it's only serious because people are being stupid about it.

I don’t think schools should have closed. Overreaction. Same stance. Kids are absolutely terrible vectors and they aren’t at risk from dying. I think more people support this now than then.
Project and others were willing to fight and sue a guy who went out in public BEFORE his daughter was confirmed with covid. Overreaction. No one is making people do that now although the trace plan coming up may force it and I’m completely against that. Same stance.
It has definitely caused people to act like idiots. Same stance.
I, like many others, was wrong about the case count. We were likely Already at a million cases or close to it when I made that post if the disease really was here back in December as the data now shows. Higher case count is a good thing. It lowers the mortality rate. I’m happy to be wrong there.

Once again, it's not the suggesting. It's the demanding.

Just because you keep the same stupid stance doesn't make it not stupid.
I was never accusing you of not being consistent with your takes. You thought this was nothing and ran with that

You weren’t trying to argue the validity of them. You were questioning me owning up to them. I can quote your post if you like. “ You seriously aren't going to at least own your stances on this pandemic?”
I addressed each one you quoted. Not sure what more you want.

You acted like that one post was all you've said on the matter. It's not, not matter how reasonable you pretend to be now. And it still will not magically make wearing a mask less effective than wearing no mask just to get back on point.

We do not recommend requiring the general public who do not have symptoms of COVID-19-like illness to routinely wear cloth or surgical masks because
Cloth and surgical masks - neither are N95 masks. This is dated April 1 when the medical community was still trying to discourage people from hording masks so they could have them for medical use.
Y'all do whatever you want. I'm going to be wearing my N95 mask occasionally (maybe 4 times so far).

That's incredibly easy to say in hindsight when we didn't have any kind of data showing children weren't able to easily spread the disease.
Especially when you consider how easily they spread everything else under the sun.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that a person coughing or breathing into a mask puts out less aerosolized particles than someone without a mask.
It doesn't take a brain surgeon to realize that if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID, you shouldn't be out in public, with or without a mask.
