Sucks to suck, banish the loans. Y’all boomers benefited from government handouts and cheap tuition.

Send away, just don’t act surprised when you get a lien on your house and your wages garnished.

Still don’t understand why they can’t afford to pay their loans these fricking millennials live at home to their 30 anyway.

Many are banking on not having to. Then they will be pissed and scream and yell when they are not fully forgiven.

Pay your loan. You borrowed for school. To get a job. That pays you an income. Oh. Get a job. There's plenty of openings available.

Are you suggesting that people should make payments on their loans even though they are not being currently asked to do so?

I just checked mine… I’ve payed 183,000 so far, 55,000$ in interest alone..and have 23k left. Was due to finish this February but I started suspending payments 2 months ago. I could use that money elsewhere now and my balance is not accruing any interest…so why pay them now?

Agree completely. I’m not in favor of these extensions, but I’m sure as shite not going to make payments if I am not obligated to do so.

...forgiveness/deferment/leniency etc type measures are all included in the contract with the gov he agreed to. there is no agreement being broken.

still speaks to character, he signed an agreement, the government(taxpayers,) came through but now he has "better use" for the money than repaying his debt

sure hope he didn't get a lib arts degree for over $200k in student loans

its a contract between him and the gov that included clauses for leniency. what is poor character about acting entirely within the bounds of the agreement?
also thats not something he decided, the other party in the agreement decided he would have better uses with the money so they exercised leniency included in their agreement.
