Yeah, the story seems kind of suspicious

The American flag is really outdated. We don't live in a society of tradition anymore and the American people deserve something more representative of our culture.
I mean it's red, white, and blue for God's sake...I'm thinking a straight up rainbow flag so everyone fits in and can stand behind it.

There is a safety issue with a flag on a car?

Then they can just whip the wheel around and throw it in reverse to see where they're going.

Didn't people use to keep guns in their cars because they would go hunting before school back in the day?
Times have changed.

Yeah, we do have issues, and it ain't with truck guy.
It absolutely blows my mind that someone could be "offended", and I put that in quotes becauuse there's no way anyone is actually distrubed by this, by the flag of the country they reside in.
Although, now that I actually read the article and see this
quote:
School District officials told WBTV that students were told they couldn't have any physical flags on their cars because of safety. Administrators said it was a pre-existing policy that was announced again today.
that's a bit different than the quotes from earlier.

A lot of kids drove beater trucks like that when I was in school. Not everyone is privileged to have their parents buy them a G-wagon when they turn 16
Did they all have giant flags waving in the back?

How is it a safety issue? Why are flags specified?
The school district is a bunch if pussies hiding behind safety as a way to ban flags and not puss off the public.
Typical

Kids in high school still do that. Not sure why people think they don't. At my daughters school I've seen shotguns and rifles hanging up in several trucks. Saw a boy cleaning his on the tailgate late last year after school.
Eta: It doesn't bother me and of course I wouldn't mention school but I do believe it was brought to school administrators attention a few years ago. IIRC they actually had balls and put the parent in her place. That was info I received although maybe they didn't. I just know kids still bring guns to school during hunting season.

School was almost over... The administrators were pussies. Just let the dude have his flag. People cower the first time someone complains.
Personally, I would have told the offended person that it's ok for them to be offended. They won't die. Also, they should go frick themselves.

Don't do that, Odummy would be glad to take the flag off of the car.

Another retarded rule begging to be broken

One of the biggest reasons this county is going to pure shite is people now think the they have a "right" to not be offended and that "right" trumps everyone else right to free speech.
And as for the school claiming this so-called rule about flags on vehicles being a "safety" issue, that's pure horseshite.
