This kind of flew under the radar, but just in case you’re at least a little concerned with the scary direction this country is going in when it comes to our inalienable rights in the Constitution of the United States. There is reason for the concern.

Politics has broken you.

This dumb frick preacher posted a pic of 2 people and said they're worthy of death, of course they got a restraining order against him, the heck is wrong with some of you thinking that's outrageous?

But I"m sure if someone posted a pic of your wife and daughter and said they're worthy of death, that would be COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!!!!!

This is a non story, completely reasonable to get a restraining order against someone as unhinged as this lunatic preacher.

Snowflakes are out in full force this morning.

Imagine arguing that Christianity is all about singling out 2 people and wishing death upon them. frick Christianity if that is what it is all about. No one else cares about a stupid religion with those types of stupid beliefs.

Certainly not by intent.

What?

He posted a picture of 2 specific people and then said they were worthy of death, but you think he had pure intentions?

Where does that argument end on say YouTube for example, and when is it deemed threatening and when is it not to speak to an individual or individuals? Is it just when a person quotes Jesus or Paul out the Bible, or does it also pertain to just speaking out in general in opposition to an individual or individuals?

Slippery slope is slippery to be sure.
Maybe don't be stupid and go on your social media and post pictures of people and wish death upon them, or they may rightfully get a restraining order against you.

This isn't that difficult.

These are the posts I want to see.

Street preachers are literal scum of the earth, right next to progressives.

But he's badgering these people and making subtle threats with the verses he chose crosses a line from speech to harrassment. That's where he's wrong.Who wants someone constantly in your proximity yelling about your sin? Who wants that person to use quotes that suggest you should die because of that sin? Nobody in this thread, yet they won't acknowledge that because it's not happening to them.
Imagine of an OT poster started a thread and said someone posted a pic of their wife and daughter and said they were worthy of death.

I bet the responses would be to tell that poster to respect the rights of the other person and their right to free speech, amirite?

I’m not the one playing dumb here. Those are the words of Paul that the preacher quoted from the Bible, and if you understand anything about the direction that this goes, we are ALL worthy of death and separation from God, but the good news is that Christ offers a way of escape from that, but it takes a renewed relationship offered mankind, a repentance in us, and God will give us a new life through Christ. All of this was paid for at the cross by God’s own Son Jesus Christ. That’s the message of the Gospel for all of mankind, not just LGBTQ people, but all of us. But to come to the point where you find salvation and a new life, you first have to understand your need for Him in the first place. That is what this was all about.

There's a big difference between standing on the street corner shouting/preaching the gospel & singling out specific individuals harassing them or saying their sin is punishable by death.

In this case it is textbook harassment, no matter what one believes.

Shame on you for cherry picking portions of this story to fit your narrative.

That speech is pointed at a specific couple and is bordering on threats. Who knows what fanatic might take him literally. That's the couple's fear.

Speaking of cherry picking. This was not done on a street, but on social media, the very same platform that gives way to countless channels and people speaking out against other people very personally, but in this case, the issue isn’t with his words, because they aren’t his words. They are God’s. AND THAT is where the real problem is with people.

Correct and loving them also means helping them turn away from their sins and toward Jesus.

Christians love the person but hate the sin.

Telling a person that they will be excluded from God grace and mercy because of the way they are living in sin is not hating them. It's one of the greatest acts of love you can do for someone. They do not have to accept your telling this to them but I doesn't make it untrue.

The most selfish uncaring thing you can do as a Christian is to watch someone live in they sin and know they are bound to hell and not warning them for fear of them being offended. People living a lie in sin are always offended to hear the truth of what they are doing. That's satans hooks in them, the original lier hates when people he gains control of hear the truth and makes it so when they do hear the truth it is like tasting something bitter and offensive so they reject it and continue to live apart from Gods grace.

Most of the people who scream "you are intolerant" are the actual ones who are the most intolerant of all.

That street preacher can shout that from the roof tops, and he is free to preach it all day long. He just can't single out a couple, target them on social media with photos and reign down hell fire & brimstone on them from the words of Paul without getting a restraining order slapped on his arse. It's really that simple.
