Best description I can think of is a very strong metallic smell.
Had Covid back in August. Never lost taste (thankfully) but I have no sense of smell other than this metallic smell that has been with me since I got out of the hospital.

So is there a pathological reason that covid could alter your sense of taste or smell?
If not, this is potentially a psychiatric issue.

I had it back in March but only had mild symptoms. So far I appear to be the lucky one where everything tastes and smells the same. However as I mentioned I never had bad symptoms, I never lost my sense of smell or taste and never ran a fever. Just had a lack of energy for several days.

I had it in July or August. Only Sept did smells and tastes come back. It goes back to normal eventually.
And, yeah; frick China.
In fact we should've said "frick You, China" before they were big enough to burn the US off of the map.

Regular coke tastes flat to me. To the point where it’s undrinkable

My aftershave smells like sweat. And my toothpaste as well. It's pretty depressing.
Its called parosomia and its been studied as we speak as it relates to covid. Since covid it attacking the receptors in the nose, they are describing it as connections being crossed when it comes back.

I had the rona in January. It took a few months for my taste to return 100%. During that time, I’d smell what smelled like smoke on occasion. Started off several times a day I’d get a whiff of it and then faded off after that.
The wife (no pics) had the rona a couple weeks before me. She says chocolate still tastes like shite to her. For awhile most food tasted like shite to her.

My brother caught COVID last November. For the first 4-5 months he had no taste or smell at all. Since then he’s regained some of his senses but everything tastes and smells exactly the same, rancid. He’s lost 30 pounds and barely eats anymore.

Caught it Lat August. Had a mild sinus issue. I've had worse colds. Smell still isn't back yet, every here and there I catch a whiff of something, but it's usually doesn't sync up to what it should be. It will come back, hopefully.

I have the exact same issues. Covid February 21, lost taste and smell for a week. All came back then in July the things you are experiencing hit me.
Once I smell the coffee brewing it goes away, but the peripheral smells are awful.

My farts haven't smelled the same to me since I had it almost a year ago. Crazy stuff, I mean they still stink, but they smell like a different brand to me.

Yes same here. It’s scares me how shite smells exactly like a bunch of other things now. I had it about a year ago

My mother got it in January and she was convinced she was smelling burnt wood all the time. Just stopped recently.

Any fart or poop or paper mill sort of smell still smells exactly like onions to me, and I had COVID a full year ago.
