Right after college. Couldn’t find a job in the field that I wanted and worked a few part time jobs here and there to pay for gas and food. Stayed with my girlfriend (now fiancé) until I found a steady job with benefits. The period only lasted about six months, but I felt pretty low for a while there. My fiancé backed me up when she had no obligation to. Meant a lot to me. The job I have now isn’t all that great, but my bills are paid, I’m paying back my student loans and I’m saving for a house. So, it could be worse.

I was broke as hell in my undergrad years. I sold plasma. I recruited others to sell plasma because you got a bonus. I rarely ran the AC in Mobile, AL. I never turned lights on during the day. I made Hamburger Helper without hamburger meat. I would stockpile cheeseburgers from McDonald's on Wednesdays because it was 39 cents cheeseburgers on that day.
I ALWAYS had beer in the fridge.
