Was in Shreveport when the hail hit. There’s at least $5,000 in hail damage to my car.

That sucks. Tornadoes get all the hype but I have never been impacted by a tornado or known anyone who has been hit. However, we have had to replace our roof, garage doors, car windows, etc multiple times because of hail since moving to Texas.

How often do you have to replace your roof? That seems like a big hassle and expense.

Technically, repaired once and replaced once. Roofs are more expensive than you think

Holy crap.
That is all i can say. Worst hail storm in my 40 year lifetime. I bought a new car (ok minivan, f yall) 2 weeks ago. Couldnt fit under cover bc my old car sitting there (engine blown)
Now have hail damage, my newly planted gardens look like shite. My monster oak looks worse than the buffet after kate upton gets a snack.
But all tht is NOTHING compared to what some might experience tonight.
God speed everyone.

We had a narrow band of hail come through a few years ago and take out our 20 year old roof.
I paid extra beyond insurance replacement to get a better quality shingle when we replaced it.
We had a helluva hail storm tonight.
Guess we will soon see if those architecture grade shingles held up or if it is new roof time aga8n.

I only got a light pelting, 2 - 3 blocks south got hammered hard judging by the leaf debris piled in the medians. The Kroger on Youree had a white parking lot. My house has a huge old oak tree that mostly sheltered it from the direction the hail was coming from. Going to have to check everything over in the morning though.
