Grand Isle is flooded but it floods any time a storm enters the Gulf. Mayor was acting like he’s never seen this before. He then cried about needing levee money so that’s why he’s acting this way.

Barometer just dropped to 996 here in South Lafourche but we are curently in the gap between the 'center' and that rainband in the NW quadrant from the center.

thought they said the flooding was coming from the Bay side

Would make more sense if it's truly unexpected. This WSW wind is piling water into SELA.

Exactly my first thought when I saw that. The mayor commented that the house was owned by some big shrimp buyer.

No doubt. Owner is crazy to not have it up..have it flooded every time this happens...amazing

Some rednecks in Grand Isle out in their aluminum boat with their dogs. One of the dogs jumped out into the water and the baw grabbed it back in by the scruff on the weather channel. Highlight of the storm so far.

Mayor since 1994. Must be some real Rhodes Scholars living in Grand Isle to keep electing this bum.

Fwiw, that's not exactly the center but it'll do for now. It's one of a couple spinning vortices within the broad LLC.

Still just a light rain in Mandeville. I could be out doing yard work in this weather.
