Based on intensity models that suck at predicting intensity

Bottom line is models say it's going to intensify and not stop until it makes landfall

It's going to blow up over the loop current

How bad did your car get messed up? Kirby had a tar and gravel roof at the time, and I remember seeing lots of cars with dents and busted windows from the gravel coming loose.

I was lucky. Parked behind a big truck and got no damage. We were standing on Kirby’s back porch watching vehicle window pop like they were being shot with a .22. Watched the IHOP lose its roof also.

Contemplate a 30-mile-wide EF-3 tornado at landfall!
Well, that's a wrap on the New Orleans problem then, I guess.

It is going to make landfall on New Orleans, right?

Can we all agree that if this flood NOLA like Katrina did, can we just leave it be and not rebuild that cesspool?

frick no, horrible idea. That'll just shift everything you love further into the surrounding Parishes.

Rize, your picture taking game could use some work, your body language looks like you learnt it from Matthew Brady.

Always does soon as the NHC puts a cone out with Louisiana in it.

Until then it’s just the usual hurricane thread posters

If you are in central time, subtract 5 from the Z time for daylight savings time, and 6 for standard time.

Models run at 00,06,12,and 18z.

So if a model runs at 00z, it's 7pm central. Now that model takes time to run, so you won't get results at 7pm, rather some hours later once it has output data and gets turned into graphics by various websites. Some models take longer than others, which is why we have staggered release times.
