Amazing to look at the Grand Isle cam now and see the water has receded.

That is probably my camp. I reported the power was out earlier this week. They haven’t fixed it yet.

Anyone in Houma, I would assume you're in an interior room already but if not...get there NOW.

There are some obvious mesos rotating around the eyewall and these are like tornadoes that are also moving at eyewall speeds.

Am I the only one who feels like this storm has slowed way down? Ida needs to go ahead and move on out, not linger the way she’s doing

WAFB just said that the track is trending east and the eye should pass between Denham and Hammond. Don’t know how good that is for us in BR.

My uncle stayed behind in Houma as part of emergency response. I'm so concerned. He has been in touch with my aunt and says house is OK so far. I wonder how long they will be in the thick of the worst of it.

I’m right outside of Houma. Lower Bayou Blue.

They will be fine. I’ve been outside in my truck the whole storm. ( on my property).

It’s blowing and I’m watching my neighbors roof come off now.

Then wind has picked up as I post. The eye must be close. Going back to radar and going to run side to grab some beer.

Pretty much all my family stayed in Houma, mom and sister evacuated and stayed with me in Waco. Father had to stay at Chabert to make sure the hospital stays running. All accounts in houma say the butt puckering is in effect.
