Grand isle cam in escalating quickly. We may lose it soon because the surge is going to keep coming up for a while.

He lets random people call in and most just want to BS with him about nonsense. A guy called earlier just to tell him that he was a Houma native but high and dry in Ruston.

I have a California garage. With the winds we’re expecting, is it better to leave the garage door all the way down or to leave a 1 foot gap at the bottom?

My inlaws will handle the elderly. I had to get my kids out. Katrina and its aftermath stole both mine and my wife’s childhoods. I couldn’t risk that for my kids. Leaving the family behind was an absolutely brutal decision but I have to do what’s best for my kids. Get help everyone who stayed.

The one thing I know for sure is we need a compass somewhere on TD. The amount of posters who don’t know north, south, east, and west is astounding.

Not that hard to figure out. North is up

Yeah, and just awhile ago I was thinking it didn't look that bad considering how close it was to the eye. This is a tight storm.

I think landfall is technically when the center of the eye is over land.

I love New Orleans. Hopefully the damage will the less than expected. We bounced back from Katrina, we can take on Ida.
