Can someone help me? I could not convince my kid to leave New Orleans. He lives 1/2 mile north of Loyola. I’m terrified and have no idea what to expect for that area. Kids are so hard headed.

He’ll be fine. Will lose power but he’s probably going to be ok.

Anyone know if that guy who got caught in the surge during Laura is streaming today? I'm sure he's somewhere stupid.

I don't remember his name, and the baw damn near died on camera.

I do know he wanted to molest an aligator and inexplicably got a gremlin wet.

North of Covington (70435 Covington close to Folsom) here....I think that big band just passed and so far so good on power. Fully expect to lose it sometime this afternoon.

Yeah, 70435 also along River Road. I still have memories of losing power for Georges on the first band coming through.

It’ll be one big cluster frick in New Orleans 48 hours from now and that POS mayor will be blaming every person besides herself.

Wait and see

Oh the guy who was in a jeep and a subaru?

Baws were trolling his feed when he hit that depot for a high spot.

Some blue check mark on Twitter posted that hurricane hunters measured 161 MPH sustained winds and a pressure of 928mb. That was 48 minutes ago, however.

Everytime they interview govt. officials they just want to talk about how strong their levees are and how they can handle it, it's like yeah, convince people not to leave.

Power just went out in Kenner, came back on pretty quick. Last minute relocation from OM to Kenner to avoid a nasty over hanging Water Oak. Hope everyone stays safe and keep SELA in your prayers!

That was Delta. And hopefully he’s not chasing this one. He’s too stupid to mess around with a storm of this magnitude.

Father in law does. They weren’t even completely done restoring everything from zeta at the camp. Idk how he deals with the stress of this year in and year out.

Has there been a mass exodus this morning after people saw what this storm has become?

Any elected official along the gulf coast should never be caught off guard by a major hurricane around August/September, yet I’m going to guess that a whole lot operate under the “well maybe it’ll turn” assumption in the early stages of formation

I’d happily accept looking like a fool evacuating for a storm that never comes, given the implications the opposite case presents

Dude stared death in the face so hard he hasn’t even talked about Ida. He wants no part of Louisiana hurricanes anymore
