Will the eye be visible on the satellite image on that website? I can’t tell where they’re at but I assume on the eye wall getting those kinds of winds

I think Kim Holden and Lee Zurik have been on the air for more than 12 hours at this point.

Arriving night shift recon mission finds the strongest winds yet in #Ida of ~105-110 mph in the SE eyewall, and these were not on the strongest side of the storm (north and northeast). Will need more passes to assess the true maximum intensity

Course that dumb bitch did….nothing is her fault. But again if you need a politician to direct you to make a life/death decision, then…….

Get out. Go north. 55. Based on google, it’s clear. Nobody is heading north for whatever reason.

Only saving grace of this news seems to be that Ida is speeding with no signs of slowing down. Maybe she’ll blow past SELA and do less damage than we’re thinking

So when are winds going to get strong enough to start knocking power out in BR?

That's not what the forecasting says though. Even if it's speeding up it still has to slowdown to make a turn. It speeding up just means it's on land faster and shits on someone even longer. Only upside to that is probably no more strengthening while it takes a dump.

A fast-moving major hurricane is going to amplify the wind speeds due to forward motion. Also, less time to weaken before getting further inland. If it moves faster than predicted inland, that’s bad.

How fast will this bitch move through the state? Any signs of slowing or will it roll through at its current pace?
