We're getting to a timefram where the NAM will be useful for rainfall totals. Here's the latest:

I would assume to get atmospheric readings for the models. Its outflow could effect Ida. Just a guess though

ETA I just don’t see the deep convection that you normally see during RI. It’s clearing out an eye but the convection around it is meh

I think people in BR are highly downplaying the flooding that can happen. BR is about to get dumped with rain.
