Like…go to Natchez,, cross the river, drive up through Winnsboro to Shreveport? A little longer but not crawling, and probably more gas stations
That’s a very easy drive. Just don’t speed through Ferriday.
My yankee arse with my NY license plates made that drive when I was in school to see gf's brother play football. Pulled over 3 times haha by locals but escaped getting tickets.

What’s the consensus for removing some fence boards on standard wood fences? Worthless for a storm this strong? Good idea to possibly keep the fence up?

I think the Cammie Cam payment scandal was, or is.

That’s just flat out not true.
Buddy it is flat out true. I went through it with Laura. They would not reimburse expenses unless a mandatory evacuation was called.

Recall that the average NHC landfall track error at 24-36 hours is 50 miles.
Yeah but they are explicitly stating high confidence in track in discussion which is kinda rare. Honestly a 20-30 mile shift at this point would be unexpected

Very. I wouldn't depend on fedgov to make me a cup of coffee right now without fricking it up.

Probably ATPB or the Q thread. Maybe the Boston bomber thread on the OT

Are those sustained or gusts? I only ask because WAFB had a post 40 minutes ago saying 50% chance of hurricane force winds in BR, and a possibility of gusts approaching 100
So as usual in these situations, I'm trying to parse somewhat different info from 2 sources and figure out what's "right"

That's what happens when you get the simplest steering setup the NHC has seen in quite some time.

It's trending a little more East.

Recon won't be back until later but this mornings mission ended without showing a lot of strengthening. The current sat presentation is a bit ragged looking and it appears that Ida is trying to clear out a rather large eye. Without out recon this is just speculation but it looks like Ida is have some issues organizing around a larger eye. There is still plenty of time for RI but anything that delays the process is a positive.

This is good. Anything to slow the intensification process I’ll take
