The official designation for Laura was a Cat 4 right? That seemed like a BS designation. It should've been a Cat 5. Pretty sure they had recorded winds before it hit shore at Cat 5 easily.
Insurance lobbyists wanted it that way, so it's a "Cat 4". Think about it.

Hopefully there’s no supply disruption for electric companies. I’d imagine supplies got drained pretty good last year of poles, wire etc.

Yeah, I thought that was still considered the lowest pressure landfalling "verified recorded."

If it has a run to Louisiana, unless it can just never get organized (which i doubt), itll most likely be a major.

They always say that and then the storm comes. So you can get worked up now or you can get worked up 4 days from now. It makes no difference. 4 gays from now he’ll be like “oh look we’ve got a storm coming”. No shite we told you that 4 days ago.
ETA: gonna leave the “gays” typo

At the rate these models are shifting it eastward it's going to hit the Florida Panhandle.

These models get better and better and when they start to agree is when I start making a plan.
Waiting for the NHC to release a track tomorrow night or Friday. They have nailed it lately.

They're in agreement Louisiana needs to pucker asses even without a center of circulation.
