For all the fretting over the center wobble, the 6z HWRF had it passing to the NW of the Isle of Youth and still had it making landfall near Cypremort Point.
I’m confused. So what are you saying here?

Therein lies the rub with evacs - if everyone thinks that way it’s FUBAR.

Because I shudder at the thought of being stuck in a mass of humanity trying to leave New Orleans on I-10, I would err on the side of caution. Like, if it was trending to "worst-case", my arse would be out of there before it was "very likely", because at that point I think everyone would be leaving.

I’m in Prairieville where you can literally blow on the power lines and the lights flicker. I’m 100% going somewhere else.
Also, my office is across the street from Oak Grove, so the likelihood of not having power at both is very unlikely.

Boy I lost power for 5 days with zeta. Ran out of Ramen, Vienna sausage and tuna. I had sleep for dinner one night. Thank God hospital has food.

sounds like you're fear mongerering to me at this point
I never lost power in Zeta, but coworkers and friends were easily without power for a week.
