I can not stress time stamped photos of everything in the house enough.

Take pictures of everything outside too

take a walk through video and a walk around video.

Take pictures of serial numbers etc.

A 50 mile shift in either direction could have catastrophic results for a place like New Orleans or on the other end Lafourche/Terrebonne.

Right, I guess I was thinking of HUGE shifts. I just don't think a more northern center now will affect where it is once it encounters the ridge.

Everyone says this (including myself) but my parents have State Farm and they had a very minor hail storm recently. State Farm paid them for a full replacement within three days of inspection. I guess they were lucky because I keep hearing horror stories about State Farm from others.

When and where was the hail storm? I just discovered hail damage on my roof in Nola. Last I knew of was in 2013 and I replaced it after. No idea where this came from.

Also State Farm paid my parents within a month of Katrina.

More like Slack. Duke is a met student, pretty sure rds is a met.

get a better state farm agent that will fight for you

honestly no matter the insurance company, it all comes down to the agent(helping push as much as they can, but they are limited big time) and the adjuster. Some are good, some suck.

Interesting graphic from Storm2k. Ida has been tracking east of each NHC forecast point so far. Doesn't mean any huge shifts in the final path, but these are where those smaller bumps mean NOLA getting hammered versus being relatively able to deal with it.
