I don’t work for Entergy. I just go by percentage of what I’ve seen out in field for Cox.

Was already overshadowed by New Orleans, nobody nationally will give a frick now
Yeah, all we're going to hear now is how bad Ida was in NY and NJ. Which, it absolutely is, but it's a terrible time to have another crisis level natural disaster happen so soon. I mean, it always is a terrible time, but resources are about to be spread very thin.
And we're not even at the peak of hurricane season yet.

It's safe to say Cox will also work east to west on restoration because they're just going to follow behind Entergy repairs then?

Speak of the Debil:

Entergy: The Little Woods neighborhood, critical care and first responder facilities were the first to receive power today. Restoration will be slow and steady moving east to west toward our Ninemile facility then back southwest. With transmission available, we focus on remaining critical services, followed by repairs to restore large communities, then individual properties. Learn more @ LINK

Just as a change of pace, and because it came across my Twitter feed, and because I like it and it is a pretty damn amazing shot, and because it proves that Fall/Winter are around the corner:
Winter has pretty much arrived in Iceland and the volcano that I can't pronounce or spell the name of is still erupting:
@SHBackpacker
Alright. Downvote if you want; I just wanted to share.

If yall are trying to go East to Mobile, I'd consider driving 59 to Poplarville, then take MS SR26 to US98, then head into Mobile from that way.
I meant to post a “thanks for this” message the other day. You saved me a lot of time on the evacuation.

While in the basement my SO explained to her niece (15 or so) that this is the same system that came through NOLA.
He niece replied, "meh, it isn't that bad"

Ya know, I don't want to be that way, but when I lived up there every hurricane those smug aholes were mouthing off about how that's why they were too smart to live in Texas/gulf coast/Florida/etc.
