What in the actual frick?

I mean....it is hard to imagine the type rainfall they got tonight if you've never seen it or paid attention, but did everyone in that fricking city/state just ignore forecasts for the past week?

shite....even NOLA didn't have busses running a few days ago.

If that’s NYC they’ve recently had busses fall off an overpass and also drive into a building so this is not surprising

I do want to point out one thing I have noticed. When Lousiana was getting the shite kicked out of it for the better part of a day and a half, Twitter was packed with chasers from all over the country posting their wins and celebrating surviving Ida and getting their shots and footage.

Yet, when the shite rolls through the Northeast and New York, they're acting like you ran over their fricking dogs and they're insisting on having a "climate conversation" and "being real".

Let me just say, frick off. You all, almost to the person, high-tailed it the hell out of town as fast as you could find an open road. Your concern seemed to have stopped as soon as the likes on your videos and streams dwindled. Save me the hypocritical world saving horseshite that only seems to show up when an area you inexplicably hold in such high regard gets raked by Mother Nature.

This dude is just chilling smoking a hookah on a float:

I guess you can do that when you don't have gators to worry about.

Haven’t they had a long while to know a shitload of rain was coming? This looks like a total disaster

Yes & some mets are online this morning all saying that they tried their best to get the message out but I don't think people pay much attention up there.

The potential was always there for tremendous rain and flooding across the northeast. Forecasters DID warn of flash flooding, severe storms including tornadoes and there were emergency warnings sent out hours before the storm hit.

Any other meteorologists just have ALL the wind taken out of their sails hearing people say the flooding "caught them by surprise"?

@alroker flagged the tri-state flood risk Sunday & Monday.

A HIGH RISK was issued yesterday. What more can we do? How can we better communicate?
