Ehh, most models suggest things will be cleared up by then, but the GFS has the system right in that area Friday morning, so who knows.

Are we going to do this again? This system is currently an open wave and the chances of development have gotten substantially worse in the last few days. Inquiring whether or not there will be any impacts on the panhandle in a week or so isn't some egregious request.

Do what again? I haven't read every post of this thread, so if it's been covered already I apologize. I feel that it's a bit insensitive that people are worried about their vacations when alot of SELA lost everything 2 weeks ago and could be impacted again. Whatever though, carry on....

Of course he should be concerned about his vacation. Most normal people would.

I haven't read this thread at all, but I opened it up and went to the last page so this is the second post I saw.

I came here solely because I'm worried about my vacation next week. I fly out of nola Wednesday morning. I don't really care about anything else..

No I understand the sentiment, but at this point the potential impact to the panhandle - even as simple as a rain event - seems much more likely than a significant storm in LA. If the system was developed and there was consistency in the models showing a storm right up our arse, it would be a different story entirely.

Damn, looking at the downvotes to people posting about their plans being effected shows there are some sensitive folks in here. You can be both worried about the effect on the state, as well as express concern for your plans. No need for a holier than thou attitude, the two are not mutually exclusive guys.

Oh shut up. There are people around the world that get raped daily, there are children in Africa that pray for a crumb of bread, there are cultures that are murdered and live in hiding around the world. Should we ever have time to take vacation and enjoy a beer?

Trigger warning...just going on a vacation is a lot more complex and that's the reason I asked. I'm sure your sensitivity and chastising someone about worries that you do not know are appreciated by someone. Here's a gold star.

Sorry, but I'm a little sensitive still from the last 2 weeks. I was fortunate not to flood, but I know many people, including relatives and close friends, who lost everything. I guess vacation is that last thing on my mind. For those not affected by the floods I can understand where they're coming from

t's and p's to everyone that got flooded obviously (we almost did) but do you really expect everyone that posts here to stop what they're doing because of it? People can (a) be concerned about our flooded neighbors and (2) be concerned about a vacation that has been scheduled and paid for at the same time
