Trigger warning...just going on a vacation is a lot more complex and that's the reason I asked. I'm sure your sensitivity and chastising someone about worries that you do not know are appreciated by someone. Here's a gold star.

What's the best guess on when the Florida Panhandle will be clear of this? Have a beach trip Labor Day weekend and might try to move things if we will just be sitting in rain or a hurricane.
Any idea how it looks just east of 22 in Sorrento just south of Airline Hwy and North of 10?

Got on I-10 west of Houston. Some parts of the highway there were starting to collect water. I stayed middle lane because at some spots there was water on the furthest right lane. The highway wasn't bad in Louisiana from about 10:30 pm until 2:30 except for about 10-15 miles west of Lafayette where water was in one lane and that lane was closed. The water was high in a number of spots but not on the road.
I just got back into Baton Rouge from Texas and am trying to catch up. Any idea how the Batou Fountain backflow will affect Bluebonnet Highlands with it being interconnected to the ponds and ditches at the part of the neighborhood that runs parallel to Burbank and the parts that back up to the soccer fields? Thanks.

How about you go look up information on Japanese American internment camps in the United States during WWII and get back to us.

That would probably work for the base layers since I'll have to bring it up from about 6'-8'.
Looking for dirt and someone to do dirt work

I have a project in the Baton Rouge area I'm looking at doing where I need to haul in dirt and raise an area and level it with the existing lot. Probably about 175' length and at a minimum 25' width and then with a grade down about a 6'-8' drop?
Does anyone have someone in the area they would suggest as well as any idea about what something like that would cost?

I don't know him personally, but I'd expect a more well rounded fact based dissection of an issue from someone with his background.
I would love to have Cheney Jo around still and challenge Tyson to take the Alton Sterling fact pattern and debate the merits of what happened from a non political and pathetically pandering position and see if he really believes what he is saying.
Maybe he was limited with a certain space he could use, but the disingenuous glossing over and finger pointing without any critical points of discussion coupled with his political aspirations disgust me and reek of an opportunist who cares more about themselves and their personal agenda than offering any real help or support. The fact that we are all somewhat tied to this because of our affiliation with LSU Law and that if I were to challenge him publicly I would be decried as a bigot and harassed which would then irreparably hurt my family while he ascended upward makes me sick to my stomach.

No man...at the fact that this is an accepted and celebrated look by an individual representing an institution I was proud of attending at one point.
Sabi...I'm pissed

quote:
A few years ago, my wife and I moved from our old home, a block from what is essentially the north-south dividing line, to south Baton Rouge to be closer to her job.
A couple things about this that bother me are:
- he complains about the blight and lack of medical care in NBR, yet his wife is a doctor runs her practice in SBR.
- His wife's practice is only a 15 minute drive from where Alton Sterling died to her offices, and only 10 minutes to Government from her offices. I don't know where they live or lived, but I'd love to map it and see the difference.
At best he is a hypocritical liar. Anyone want to open up the lines on whether his children attend a private school in SBR and the reasons he espouses if questioned?

I just looked at his Twitter and there is a lot of shameless self promotion and whoring going on there. I had heard the faculty there had been turning left for a while, and now it seems like in a couple of years it will be hardly recognizable.

He probably lives in Gardere to make an impact there.

To me it reads as a thinly veiled attempt to take the next step in a political career after failing to win his 2015 election.

So conflicted after reading that.
Did the Nation of Islam just say they are boycotting the Mall of Louisiana in that clip? Where did that guy come from?
Any roofer recommendations in the BR area?
Posted by bwm14 on 7/5/16 at 2:17 pm
I always come here for info because y'all seem to have the best advice and contacts for work on houses and camps. We had some damage from the last set of storms at a property and I need a roofing repair company y'all would suggest to come take out a skylight that was damaged and seal up everything. Thanks for the help!
