Once Matt gets away from Cuba expect that western side of the eyewall to fill in. I also concur with the RI possibility tonight/tomorrow once he gets away from the Cuban mountains.

I don't care. Not sure why you are asking me. I'm worried about people not football.

Those are some pretty messed up priorities.

Lol at the retards evacuating Charleston, it's not even going to make landfall and barely be a cat 2 when it gets up here. I swear our governor is a disgrace.

Intensity forecasts 12 hours out are notoriously difficult, much less 4 days away. Government leaders don't have the luxury of waiting around to see precisely how bad things will be a day out before making a decision. You see how much of a clusterfrick it is now with 4 days notice - can you imagine if they wait until Thursday or Friday to make that call?

Except, of course, those games can involve roughly 100,000 people, if not many more ancillary.

Not mandatory, but the Mayor of Jax (Lenny Curry) just had a presser asking everyone east of the Ditch to leave. I imagine this will become mandatory before too long. I know the storm is far away, but the weather is already pretty ominous huh?

12z GFS has western edge of eye about 40 miles from Gainesville on Friday night.

shite, that puts the eye (or even the eastern eyewall) right over us at the beach (Penn, FLBoo, and a few others). Was hoping this would stay 40-60 miles out in the Atlantic

The 12z GFS is bad news for Florida. Basically drops the eye of a major over Orlando.

I'm a little jealous of the people that get to experience a good Hurricane. The storm itself is awesome.

The destruction however, not so much.

That's why wishcasters are a thing. The power is awesome to behold.

Live enough aftermaths and that trait dies off quickly.

Hmmmm not liking this at all. Probably getting ahead of the now, but is there anything that will sweep this out before making it in the Gulf at any point?

Matthew isn't a Gulf threat. Even if it does the loop, it doesn't look to enter the Gulf.
