How did LSU get the game on Monday anyway? Is UF holding out for a similar option?

Idk where this 20 feet is coming from. The NHC website doesn't suggest anywhere over 9 feet so far.

IDK.

UT was ready to forfeit

That was so long ago ... I don't even remember WHEN we found out it was moved. We evacuated on Thursday (I think) to BR and took our tickets with us.

Only a mattet of time, sat and radar products show very intense convection with lots of lightning building around eye. RI may be on the table for later today.

WV showing Matt starting to really pick up some water again. IR showing some deep convection building up on the N side of the center. He's still organizing, but by tonight I suspect he'll be scary looking.

Wouldn't want to be in the Bahamas tonight.

I don't see the issue for Gainesville Saturday.

Forecast is zero percent chance of rain and less than 50% chance of one minute of 39 mph winds.

No need to move the game at this point.

It was some worst case scenario thing someone mentioned. Idk. That's why I said if true.

9 feet at sea level basically will flood some areas here pretty good. We are surrounded by water with the ditch, the river, creeks and the ocean. It's go to go somewhere.

JDCPA76 where are you from? And I mean this nicely: Have you ever gone through a hurricane or lived near a town that has??? It can be really really bad and as stated tons of times already it's not so much about the WEATHER on the day of the supposed game. Gotta get LSU there ... they can't fly in on Friday.

This is about way more than a football game.

You don't see any issues with having the game in Gainesville Saturday? None at all? Well as long as it isn't storming at kick off, it should work right? It's prob best if LSU just flies to Florida early and then the two schools can figure it out from there

jesus, how are people not realizing the affect this will have on the state as a whole

even if it is sunny and 80 in gainesville saturday, shite will be going down in other parts of the state, evacuations, emergency response, etc..

so traffic control for game will be crazy, police, emergency folks that usually work the games will be busy doing more important shite

not to mention im sure half of the gator fans live in areas that will be affected

How do you propose the team get to Gainesville on Friday? When the sustained winds are at 30 with gusts up to 50.

Gainesville is included in the NHC cone of probability meaning that the eye could very well pass over Gainesville. If that happens Friday you can't just expect Saturday to be back to normal.

ETA: Not to mention the influx of people evacuating from the east

Microwave scan. Western eyewall is still broken up. The intense stuff on the east side will need to wrap around before significant strengthening can take place.

Lol at the retards evacuating Charleston, it's not even going to make landfall and barely be a cat 2 when it gets up here. I swear our governor is a disgrace.

From a source within UF they're still talking about what they are going to do.

How I feel, but my girlfriend is buying into the hysteria. Fighting an uphill battle right now.

If I recall correctly Ivan came through Just before auburn game and they kept the game on. We drove up on that Saturday, there were trees covering I-65 that you had to drive around. Can't believe they never moved that game
