Considering what storm surge destruction I saw in South Mississippi after Katrina, that looks benign. Hardly any streets with any water.

Anyone have a link to a gauge near the Loxahatchee south shore / Sims Creek area in Jupiter, FL?
Have a friend riding it out nearby and would like to watch the data in near-real time.

I don't think he's passed me, but I've been drinking.

Most of people I work with live in Jupiter. I live just south. One guy texted me 66 about 40 mins ago

I drove I-4 today. There were many trucks pulling cargo trailers and campers heading to Tampa. A bunch of motorhomes too. At least when they got somewhere they had somewhere to sleep without being gouged.
I am inland and only getting about 5 mph winds with 8-ish gusts. I am slated for 55 mph tomorrow. It rained hard earlier but a light sprinkle has set in.
Many have it worse than me and I will be thinking of y'all tonight.
Stay safe.

Changed the 5-ft to orange. The pink is what they call the intertidal layer on NHC viewer.

Thanks - this confirms what I've been seeing and thinking this whole time. It's just kind of unnerving being close to marsh and the coast even knowing your area has no history of flooding.

Yeah, that was like a 20+ storm surge. The Jacksonville area looked like it could be bad earlier. All depends on the location and direction of the storm.

Answered my own question with this LINK of a gauge on the north side. Still wish I could find something that's specifically looking at Sim's Creek.

32-38 ft storm surge depending on where you were on the coast for Katrina.

That's a lot of pink...can't even see my circle for the green and blue

Streets in downtown Charleston flood during normal rain, I don't want to see what this monster can do.

I mean that isn't true at all. The highest recorded was 27.8 feet.
