First time ever I have stomach flu and I am miserable.
I’m dehydrated as frick too.
How much water should I be drinking.
Every time I take a sip, I can feel another torrent coming.
My mother said only have a couple of sips an hour,
Idk if that seems right.

Drink whatever you can and go back to sleep.
Stomach bugs are the worst. Sorry

Go to a doctor and get some zofran. Drink Powerade or Gatorade. Tough it out for a few days and the storm will pass.

The only good news is they typically only last around 24 to 36 hours.

You sure that's not the 12oz flu?

I’m about 36 hours in so hopefully it’s good to go soon.
I have been getting Gatorade too.
Only concern is it drastically increases the number of times I have to rush to the bathroom. I don’t know if that’s a good think (cleaning system out) or bad (not letting my body reset naturally).
I’m really not too far away from going to doctor if I still feel awful this afternoon.

had it last year. threw up more that day than my whole 33 year life combined. by the end of the day, i had zero energy from dehydration. I drank a whole orange powerade over the course of a couple hours and then threw the whole thing back up.
All that said, my wife (no pics) drove me to a walk-in clinic. they wheeled me in, gave me 2 bags of fluid and some antibiotics via IV and i hopped off that table feeling like a brand new man.
TL:DR go to a walk in clinic and get some fluids via IV.

Maybe it's just me, but I usually throw up for only about 6-12 hrs. Diarrhea for a few days. 36 hours seems long for stomach bug.

8 glasses a day minimum.
No greasy food.
Simple easy to digest.
Rice.

Start with small pieces of ice. If you can get it crushed or chipped, good.
Pedialyte popsicles are also great.
Like the other baw said get some zofran and take some immodium. The doc can call in some imodium for you too.

Stomach Flu
Doesn’t exist.
Influenza is primarily a respiratory illness.

Lots of sugar, I would advise against. If you want the electrolytes get pedialyte or an equivalent. The sugar will probably make you vom.

Why would you call a doctor for Imodium? Go to Walmart or Walgreens.

I meant it as an Rx that will plug you up.
