Watching a replay of the flight path has me wondering if he might be a student pilot who isn't particularly adept at figuring out where he is via landmarks. Things look a hell of a lot different in the air than they do on the ground where you have roads, familiar landmarks, and street signs. I know I sucked at VFR navigation for a good, long time when I first started as a student. Should be interesting to see how this tu

My family is from Tupelo and apparently this guy stole the plane from the Tupelo airport. His dad is a very prominent member of the area. He’s a druggie. Scary and very weird situation

Holy shite! This could be my ex's brother. What's the dad do for work?

This guy’s probably has 30 minutes left to live.

Judging by the flight track, I don’t see a successful landing in his future.

I learned to fly in South Louisiana amidst HUGE soybean fields. You had a million places for an emergency landing.

I can’t imagine trying that in the middle of hundreds of square miles of pine trees.

Any landing you walk away from is successful.

I have always been of the mindset that any landing you walk away from is successful. The condition of the aircraft is not a factor.

It is! It’s also got me so intrigued that I haven’t checked the Poli board yet. That’s saying something!
