Still dropping, when can we get back to life

As testing increases and the number of previously undiagnosed cases increase, the mortality rate will likely continue to drop.

What number would we be comfortable with going back to normal?

When the amount of tests coming back positive starts to decrease, we can go back to normal life.

probably when testing is fully implemented and we see a reduction in positive tests, unfortunately

I think that wouldn’t be based on mortality rate but more to do with the rate of newly diagnosed cases.
As I said with the rapid increase in testing, there should be a pretty big spike in “new cases” that were previously undiagnosed. Once we get through that wave, hopefully all the quarantines and social distancing has slowed down the infection rate.

I would guess our Cultural/societal haze lasts a good while. Roughly,eight weeks from yesterday would be my guess. By May 15 things should be getting better as far as normalcy. And then hopefully by June we can start rebuilding with a vengeance.

I think they are worried more about the amount of cases serious enough to need hospitalization that could overwhelm all the hospital and cause the mortality rate for other issues to increase due to no resources to help/treat others.

They already are. Once they stopped handpicking who gets the test, negatives are surpassing positives.

All the medical professionals are freaking out about hospital overload. I think it’s safe to assume many people have already had the virus and gotten over it. Just like the flu or pneumonia, the most serious cases will require hospitalization. That is why I don’t get the panic.

It's going to exponentially increase for awhile because it's already everywhere and people everywhere are recovering from it on their own.
