I didn't realize Hawking had ALS, always thought he had cerebral palsy...

Dude was diagnosed in 1963... Amazing he lived that long...

Hawking's attraction to the ladies seemed to be the same as any other guy. One of Hawking's friends, and professional nemesis was another astrophysicist in the U.S. They made many bets on the outcomes of their individual research, the standing wager was always a one year subscription to Playboy, keep in mind this was the 60s and 70s before internet porn.

Stephen Hawking has three biological children by NewBootGoofin

This thread is a good example of how much misinformation is spread by the uninformed on this site. The question about Hawking's children is answered in the movie. It's called "The Theory of Everything." If you're even mildly curious about his life, it's worth a view.

Now, SPOILER ALERT, for those who won't see the movie or use google to inform themselves, the children were conceived the old fashioned way. His reproductive organs worked even after he became wheelchair bound.

His teeth & appearance were probably more a function of their being British than his condition. They're more comfortable with busted looking teeth as a society.

Why does everyone assume that just because someone is in a wheelchair they can't reproduce?

Wishful thinking?

I'd be more worried about that Hawking ALS gene.

Hopefully my superior physical genes cancel that out and my average smarts gene doesn't cancel out the Hawking smart gene.
