After some googling, it looks like only 1 of his children was conceived after he was wheelchair bound. It said his wife wrote in a memoir how the sex was bad because of his disability.

Well, he wasn't diagnosed with ALS until he was in his early 20s.. And even then his progression got worse.. I am not sure, at what point in his life he had children, but even when he was completely physically disabled, his dick could still work.. It's not like he was paralyzed.. So I am guessing his wife got on top.
