You can disagree with the direction taken, but to imply that CB was humming along just fine and out of the blue they decided to change for the sake of change makes you look dumb.
I do look dumb, but not as dumb as the rebrand

Cracker Barrel has been trending towards BK for several years now. You think everything was just a-ok and the c-suite decided to attempt to reinvigorate their brand for no reason?

S&S famously went downhill after being acquired a few years ago. I think they’re making a strong comeback though especially with things like using beef tallow and what not.

Steak and Shake has absolutely no fricking room to talk. They completely gutted their whole system, chucking their 30’s inspired deco-ish decor and table service that made them beloved by customers, and replaced it with “minimally staffed” stores with a kiosk ordering system and sparse, modernist styling, and an atmosphere colder than their ice cream.

You do realize that is why your ilk are destroying it, right?

Anything that is Old Americana Nostalgia must be destroyed and replaced with whatever degeneracy your party is promoting this week.

It takes great people years to build something amazing, but it takes a progressive only minutes to destroy it.

Dude that is why people liked Cracker Barrel. Old time style with old time style country cooking. This is the beginning of the end for Cracker Barrel, they will regret it at some point and try to return to the original but it will be too late. I just don’t get these ppl, you don’t fix what is worker and Cracker Barrel worked.

The sooner you realize our differences are caused and exacerbated by the elite class the better it'll be for your mental health. "My ilk" of my own socioeconomic background all loved and supported what Cracker Barrel was. Hell, every black person I've seen who has a take on this change is that this change is fricking dumb.

It's a shame this c-level grifter has let either her politics or marketing dept. convince her to destroy such an iconic brand. We can agree on that.

Ok then, it's the middle of the end. Instead of doing a move that would right the ship.

Cracker Barrel is facing the same problem that traditional cafeterias faced - their customers are old and rapidly dying off and the younger generation isn't replacing them at the table.

It sucks because they had a good product, a good concept, good food and good service. Maybe not great, but it often hit the spot, offered some nostalgia and was a lighthouse of consistency on road trips along the interstate.

But there's not much you can do about demographic shifts and trends.

seriously doubt a country breakfast restaurant rebranding its logo will result in the destruction of the several thousand year tradition known as "family" I think we all need a smoke break

The erosion of family values has been ongoing for years. The first George Bush made a big deal of it and people laughed.

Now look at "family values" -- from mainstream commercials to Grammy winners.

It's like a frog in a boiling pot vs. a frog in a pot where the temperature slowly rises.

And voters don't care or downplay the issue as long as they can drink, gamble and eat fatty foods.
