I guess you guys in LA ain't going to be making fun of Florida on Friday.

Thursday at midnight orders expire and DeSantis is hell bent on fully opening up our sunshiny state.

Your governor really is towing the party line to derail Trump 2020. I'll pour one out for you guys Friday night.

I think it's fine in the sense that this is essentially assuring that they aren't going to shut down again in a second wave.

You area exhibiting the exact same thought process that every person has exhibited stepwise throughly this whole process.

“No way he will extend the initial shutdown”

Guess what, he did.

“Ok, he clearly will reopen now that cases are decreasing and no hospitals are overrun”

Way wrong again.

“No way he will extend it another 2 weeks”

Now, we have moved to there being no way he will shut things down again after reopening.

This state is so fricked. We were already going to be hurting badly being shutdown for over a month and no oil revenue coming in.

New Orleans metro should go til May 15. Open up the rest of Louisiana

They just said it's the rest of the state causing the order to be extended. Region 1 is having declines in all of the required measures

Is there somewhere you can see the #s by region like the #s posted for the state everyday?

Exactly.

Anyone who wanted a full shutdown, this is what you get.

What do you mean wiped. Social distancing is not eradicating any viruses. If they are trying to stop this thing, which is what this doctor just said, we’re never opening up.

Yeah, because he doesn't want to create any new hot spots. Not because new cases are popping up.

That isn’t how this works at all.

Holy frick.

The only way you “wipe” it out is have a good enough dispersion of infected.

Shutdown orders do the exact opposite thing.
