Can we get some actual data on who’s committing all the crime in particular murders in Baton Rouge.

Like is it majority caucasians, Asians, Hispanics, or African Americans?

Where do they live, what are there ages.

Men lie, women lie, numbers don’t lie.

We could use this data and help figure out the root cause of these crimes or at least call it out and hold this segment of society accountable. Or maybe specifically target the areas with more patrolling, less benefit of the doubt, and maybe install some sort of stop and frisk.

Bottom line we need to get tough on crime like to the extreme, no matter where you live in Baton Rouge there’s been murder within a two mile radius of your house if not multiple.

Put a murder map together and most of the pins fall in NBR and Baker, with a heavy concentration around Exxon and about a mile east from there.

This is just the facts. If its a poor black area crime is high. The majority who are committing crimes are black males.

Poor whites are in rural areas and don't have the turf wars like black urban areas, but probably has more kiddie touchers.

Baton Rouge's mayor is a complete disaster and micro manages the police department, which is run by a puppet. Because of that puppet there are less police officers/man power, which again, circles back around to the mayors office.

Its so bad that they have to threaten the local media who try to investigate real issues with not giving them access to the mayor's office to the point they are forced to get rid of their better investigative reporters. I can't stress how big of an issue that is.

You don't really have to look at numbers to see what is going on.

I know you probably just graduated high school and I commend your motivation but we have been trying to do this for 50 years

The level of deception is getting worse. First they ignored the problem, then they denied the problem, now they are at the point of blaming others (white people) for the problem.

90+% of the murders in BR are committed by young black males between the ages of 15-35. They are usually dead or in prison beyond that age if they live that lifestyle. 5% are black females and 5% other (white, Hispanic etc)

How many shootings where someone has NOT died ? How many each year over the last 10? They can say murders are down all they want, but it’s due to fortune more than anything else. Someone is getting shot damn near everyday. Sunday two idiots shot each other up on Hundred Oaks in the middle of the day. Neither died , but hey murders are down from last year.

BatonRougeCrime.com seems to be taking that data and making it a little easier to read.

There is some truth to this but it’s mostly false. Even when controlling for poverty the rates of violent crime are much higher in black communities

18.5 million white people below the poverty line
7.8 million black people below the poverty line

There are way more poor white people in this country than poor black people. Yet black people commit half the murders.

Poverty is not the reason

Maybe I shouldn’t have looked at that

That’s 8 more healthy kids than those that died of COVID. Yet they had a death counter on the news channels and national campaign to vaccinate your kids. The inconsistency is astounding.

Criminals, most likely.

You know the answer, why even ask the question?

Ever heard the phrase "lies, damned lies, and statistics"? Do you know what it means?

The problem with this approach is that it doesn't work.

Poverty is a major reason. You can control for poverty but it's harder to control for population density which is another major contributing factor.

A lot of people in a small area with few resources = crime.
