2020 Tahoes? Probably. They also have Dodge Chargers now with very low key markings. Maddening.

If the rooftop lights get any lower they'll be under the damn seat.

They love Sunday’s because there’s open roads, and they act like you’re a terrorist if you drive 10 mph over

They're killing me. Dont think they even have push bars up front. That's not playing fair.

I agree, cops are sure fire idiots that do more harm than the public should let them get away with.

This is why you have otherwise reasonable people refusing to just “back the blue”. We have come a long way from Barneys cruising around looking to help the citizenry. At this point, law enforcement is a blend between open paramilitary and conducting undercover investigations on people just going about their daily lives. And small town judges are usually little more than a tax collector wearing a dress.

I’m sure they’re loaded up around Amite ready to light up people heading home from Starkville.

It's definitely a thing. In this age of tight budgets, especially in many DA's offices, those budgets are enhanced a good bit with ticket proceeds. And hell, if they're gonna do it that way, may as well make it most efficient....sit out there 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. The folks who can be better relied upon to diligently pay fines. I don't fuss about the blue too much, but this irks me.

Spiked even higher by DA diversion programs. That way, they get to keep all of the money instead of just their normal percentage of fines and fees.

Yes. It's quite the problem for local public defender offices. Not that there's an abundance of concern for that. But it's as integral part of the justice system as the DA. Great deal if you're the defendant though.
