Bull shite. You slow down cars doing 70 down to 50 to make a sharp turn, it causes backflow, period...there is no denying this.

Buy those shithole homes out, below right, a and make the turn start earlier and more gradual, or make the traffic go straight ahead for another 1/4 mile and merge around acadIan exit...

Baton Rouge is one of many parts of Louisiana that have gotten totally screwed when it came to infrastructure spending in the past. I can't blame people for being distrustful of a tax dedicated to nothing in particular.

Some houses will get bought out. There is a layout plan posted on DOTD's website. They found a way to do it without taking anything around the Perkins Overpass area though.

Some good solutions are proposed, such as a flyover exit for I-10/College.

Baton Rouge will be "orange traffic cone city" for about 3 years but it will be worth it in the end for the updated alignment, lighting, and additional lanes.

That was always the biggest hang up.

I attended an open house and suggested that to the guy there with the state, he looked at me like I was crazy but wrote it down.

I'm gonna put a plaque out there with DoubleB on it to commerate the DoubleB flyover.

Want to come to the christening with me in about three years?

It was 70 for the Texas floods. I was amazed how traffic never backed up here while I-10 was closed in Beaumont.

Find that guy and tell him we need to be able to funnel more traffic on Airline and over the old bridge.

Blah blah blah...point is, where ever you start slowing down traffic from 70 to 55, you have 70 mph cars catching up...unavoidable backup starts when traffic is heavier....then slow it down to 30 to make the stupid turn, and you have a dual repeating backups. Want proof? Go look, I have live evidence as we speak

Get real, we all know that the gas tax would have been spent on the states corrupt BS, not on infrastructure.

OH MY. I'M a fricking tard. I recall paying this toll and scrounging for $.50 in the 90s on the Way to Track Meets at Dville. The booth was at the bottom of the bridge AFTER you crossed it, right? My BADDDD.

Wait, they charged you to go TO the Wank? You'd think they'd charge people FLEEING the Wank. Wasn't that how the toll on the CCC worked? Free to get in, pay to get out?

Actually the DOTD people listen. They At least they took notes, etc. and had a suggestion table.

I was impressed. But then I don't get around much like most of the OT ballers here.
