With less than a week until the city hosts the College Football Playoff National Championship game, I thought I would update everyone on the state of the city:
•City computer system is still down from a cyber attack
•Manager of Walmart in Gentilly was shot and killed
•Female was shot in the hand on Bourbon Street
•Bywater masturbator was apprehended, but it took a while due to the city’s computer system being down from the cyber attack
•Water Boil Advisory for Westbank of New Orleans was cancelled today
•There is currently a lockdown in place for residents, schools and businesses in Lakeview due to an incident this morning involving three individuals with a stolen car that tried to run over a police officer (two Suspects in custody and NOPD is still in pursuit of the third).
•A stolen vehicle was identified in Jefferson Parish by JPSO deputies last night which led to a high speed chase from Jefferson to Orleans, resulting in the car crashing into a tree in City Park, killing the driver and injuring the other two passengers. Mayor Cantrell wants to speak to Jefferson Parish Sheriff Lopinto about Orleans no chase order in NOPD consent decree for the safety of her residents.
•A total of 17 cars were burglarized during mass at the Mary Queen of Vietnam Catholic Church in New Orleans East, six during the 8 am mass Sunday and 11 during the New Year’s Day mass.
•City claims car break-ins have jumped 57% in 2019
•Municipal and Traffic courts still down from cyber attack
•Collapsed Hark Rock Hotel is still waiting to be demolished and areas around it shut down
•Clerk of Orleans Criminal Court has furloughed nearly all employee’s due to budget constraints, effectively shutting down the Criminal Courts
•Homeless population has grown to record levels under the Ponchartrain Expressway and I-10 near Tulane and Canal
•Car window smashings are becoming a daily occurrence in the city for every neighborhood and can occur anytime of day
See you soon

If LSU loses in a controversial manner, there may very well be a riot.

Northshore is fine except for hellaciious traffic and uncontrolled development which will exacerbate the flooding issues.
