Starbucks CEO Blames Woke Elected Officials For 16 Store Closures In Dangerous Cities

LINK

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz placed blame on woke elected officials in Democrat-run cities for the abrupt closure of 16 stores located primarily on the West Coast.

On Tuesday, The Wall Street Journal was the first to report that six locations each will shut down in Seattle and Los Angeles, in addition to two in Portland, Ore., one in Philadelphia, and one in Washington, D.C., by August. The company cited repeated safety incidents behind its decision.

Leaked footage of Schultz at an internal meeting, published by The Post Millennial’s Ari Hoffman on Thursday, revealed the coffee-chain executive blaming elected officials for an environment in which it’s too hostile to operate.

“In my view at the local, state, and federal level, these governments across the country and leaders, mayors, and governors and city councils have abdicated their responsibility in fighting crime and addressing mental illness,” said Schultz, who returned to the company as chief executive in April. “We are going to have to refine and transform and modernize many of the things we do to meet the needs of our customers in a very changing operating environment in which customer behavior is changing.”

Waffle House Shuts Down 16 Locations As Areas Become Too Nice And Crime-Free

Babylon Bee

NEW YORK, NY — Multiple Waffle House locations have been forced to close their doors permanently following an uptick in public safety and a drastic reduction in crime. The Waffle House locations were simply no longer able to function in pristine, well-funded areas that their customers were not used to.

"After careful consideration, we are closing some stores in locations that have experienced a low volume of challenging incidents and crime that make it TOO safe to continue to operate," a Waffle House spokesperson explained. "We're forced to reevaluate and search for communities that jeopardize personal safety, have increased levels of mental illness and drug use, and areas that are overall more run down."

Well, he’s not wrong.

Problem is that Starbucks also made their own bed by doing some of the shite they have done such as not requiring that bathrooms only be used by customers. So they end up with homeless people camped out there not buying an overpriced half caff triple espresso decaf soy milk pumpkin spice chai latte with extra foam and chasing off the people who do buy their overpriced shite.

Hasn't he been a huge donor and advocate for these same politicians?

My area fought back against Starbucks. We have 2 awesome local coffee joints.

But lately they close shortly after lunch due to staffing issues, which kind of makes me wish Starbucks was around. When the local schools are in session, they will open back up till 6PM. Apparently students keep these places open.

"I've never seen any riff raff at Starbucks in NOLA"

"How about the one in the very heart of the city?"

"Oh, that one doesn't count"

Gotta love the NOLA crowd

That's rich coming from the guy who is cool with homeless people coming in to use their restrooms and sit at their tables thereby denying a paying customer a table.

Greater BR area has done the same with PJ’s and CC’s both operating in and around the area.

While there are still Starbucks around, they closed a lot of locations in the area because the local companies had such strong traction.
