I love how people act like the things that can be said about this case have to fall into a narrow range.

I'll help. Mothers. Fathers. Teach your daughters that unfortunately, not all men are good people. For that matter, given the rate of lesbian rape on campuses these days, neither are all women. So, teach your daughters that becoming incapacitated in public because you drank too much is really fricking dumb. Oh. While you're at it, teach your boys that it's really fricking dumb too because, well, I can imagine bad things might happen to a guy passed out drunk behind a dumpster.

frick this entitled little rapist prick. Yes, he is every bit as much a rapist as any other rapist. NOTHING I said regarding teaching sound judgement to assist oneself in avoiding bad things(including rape) makes him less a rapist. He is 100% rapist and 6 month is a joke.

I have no idea why people can't hold both of the above thoughts in their heads at once.

Purely curious:

What happens when a male is under sedation for a medical or dental procedure & he begins to grope a female nurse/tech or doctor/dentist, either before or coming out of it? Even worse, he gets all crazy strong & ends up raping someone?
I've seen this play out a lot in regards to grabbing/heavy flirting-mostly at the dentist. Hell, I've seen a guy attempt to make out with his female dentist after a light procedure with some laughing gas. Is he a predator?
After my last surgery my wife said I tried to get my nurses to go to Vegas with us for a 3some wild weekend while I was coming out of sedation (I don't believe her, but she's never really let that one go...).

Is that grabby/rape guy a rapist? He was under the influence, likely doesn't remember, & could be the greatest human on earth otherwise.

Where does the owness of one's self come in in regards to the law in this situation? Drinking/recreational drugs use situation that leads to rape is illegal because the guy put the booze in his system & is expected to maintain his wits vs. medical/dental sedation where the "unaware" male becomes rapey...Also, what if the MALE is drugged, only has a drink or 2, but then ends up in a raping act?

I am a strong believer in recreational substance abuse not being an adequate excuse. Alcohol especially. If you suck just because you had alcohol, that is a strike against you period. In fact, it might be more indicative of what really sits inside you, like truth serum. Both possibilities should be weighed.

Assuming it's a consistent pattern of behavior. If it's one time, I very likely would not hold it against anyone. One time or not, everyone should take responsibility for their actions, period. I feel sorry for the people that don't, and wake up the next day to laugh it off as just simple drunkenness. That's someone to me who doesn't understand how their actions effect other people.

Im convinced there's very little teaching these days. Little Johnny and Cindy are raised to be rich and good looking and popular like athletes and actors. That's the American dream. This kid is everything that's in that dream. Take the easy way, and flaunt how easy it was.

My problem with it? See the poor black woman who who is being chanpioned as a victim? Yeah try again and this time provide the REAL story.

That stupid bitch is Shanesha Taylor. Shanesha left her 2 kids (age 2 and an infant 6 months old) in a locked car where the temps were over 100 degrees. She left them there and they were in the car for over 45 minutes until passerby rescued the kids. So of course the stupid bitch was arrested!! She is lucky her kids didn't die!

So Shanesha lied and said she didnt have money daycare and was homeless in fact her parents were more than happy to watch the kids and to let her live with them but Shanesha didnt want to abide by their house rules.

Idiots took pity on Shanesha and her fake story of woe and donated 114,000 for her to be able to afford daycare and schooling for her kids. Shanesha took that money and used it to fund her boyfriend's rap album.

That's poor woman, right? Sounds like she was really done wrong, huh?
