I was once hooking up with a chick in a mustang, it was a super tight space so I had her pretty much flailed over the center consol. I just got it in when all the sudden I hear snoring. I was like "WHAT THE frick", look over and her eyes are closed and she is sleeping. I pulled out, woke her up, and told her it was time to call it a night and drive me home.

As far as being too drunk to know better, if that were the case he wouldn't have tried to flee the scene. His reaction to being caught was exactly that of someone who knew he was doing something wrong.
Or someone that suddenly had two men yelling and rushing up on him?

Nah you don't get to excuse yourself from your drunken decisions if those drunken decisions are rape.
I've been shite faced plenty of times. Never raped someone. Go figure.

What I wrote had nothing to do with the rape accusation.

She was probably asking for it. It's a shame he's going to jail the they were both drunk and she just regrets it. The system is so fricked up against guys.
Am I doing this right OT?
And now that this thread has gone 7+ pages, this post has be proven prophetic. This forum, by and large, has devolved into a fricking cesspool. If we're not high fiving some frickstick running some guy off the road at interstate speeds in one thread, we're defending police flash banging infants in their cribs, or in this case trying to pretend that this woman was somehow responsible for this a-hole's actions.
There was a time, many years ago now, where I simply assumed that the severe opinions seen on this board were guys using the anonymity provided here to act out...to simply play characters. I don't believe that in most cases anymore. Instead, I think it's far more likely that what you see here is EXACTLY what most people are...without the veneer of having to pretend in real life. No reason to pretend here, right...? And given the horrible nature of most of the opinions voiced around this place, it's a fricking terrifying thought.
And yeah...anyone that writes one additional comment in this thread without having taken the time to read the full victim statement posted here really does deserved to be perma-banned.

Highly doubt this. Especially given the evidence in this case.
There's just no chance that the average father is going to advocate for his son to be punished harshly.

The normal father would have no response and would be ashamed of his son for being a sex offender
How many times do we see a parent do what the father is doing here vs how many times do you see a parent coming out and saying they want their kid punished to the full extent of the law?
That's it.

Back away from the keyboard for awhile. Seriously.

I understand, you're talking about why the guy would leave, but I'm just making it clear that he assaulted her - drunk or not.

It's really not all that tough at all. Theorize she consented at one point. At whatever point it was that she became unconscious, you stop everything and take care of her. That's what decent people do. You don't hump and finger her. It isn't that complicated. If you're brave enough, read her statement.
Who's to say that he wouldn't have just left her behind a dumpster after he was finished.

People act like I overreacted and that isn't exactly what many would think, and lo and behold, here we are.
Check out the thread where the guy cold-clocks his girlfriend. So many posters want any excuse they can find to hit a woman.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I'm not saying he's correct or I agree, but I think it's rather natural and the normal response for a parent to protect their child's interest and while admitting their child did some wrong, to try and lessen just how wrong the act was.

Maybe he shouldn't rape people then.
Makes too much sense.

I'm not sure how the letter was made public, but if it was a post from the father on Facebook, for instance, that is over the line IMO.
If it is the transcript from a letter or a copy of the letter he read/wrote to the court, then I understand it to some extant.

I can't really imagine how that father's letter comes across to the victim here.
Pretty bad.
Pretty bad.

It's not a good look, let's just say that.

There's a laundry list of things you can call out on it, but referring to the incident as "sexual promiscuity" was the one that got me the most.

Ever had sex while really drunk or with someone that was really drunk?
