Hey dipshit, maybe they were the most qualified applicants

I can assure you that they were not. We had 15 minority students in a class of 165. Only 3 advanced to our second year and only one graduated with us on time. Near the bottom of the class, but still on time. They also had tutoring sessions before exams where exam questions were given and reviewed.

Of the original 15, on 4 eventually finished med school and only two finished residencies. One lost his license for various offenses shortly after starting a practice in an urban location.

As mentioned in other threads before, when choosing a doctor, choose a relatively young white male. You can be sure that bastard is qualified.

As a physician, I hope AI doctors are available for me. Medicine and training has gone to shite across the board. A lot of doctors under the age of 45 or so wouldn't have been doctors in years past.

Lack of knowledge and work ethic is more the rule than the exception now. But that happens when you make the job much less appealing. I wouldn't do it again if I were starting now.

You racists can't help yourselves. Post the qualifications of all accepted candidates if you have them.

I was responding to Froman, and I'm not saying they are never qualified. The student that graduated top of the class the year behind me was a black male. He was also aware he would always be suspected as an affirmative action doctor despite being an elite student. He super-specialized to the point it doesn't matter. If you need his service, he's going to be the only one to offer it.

I guess my point is that it doesn't really help the situation when you let people in that don't have the ability to complete the training and practice safely, but it does harm minority students that are qualified and competent because they'll have that albatross their entire career.

Many women in stem and medical fields are as good or better students. Sorry about your weakened manhood, but it’s true.

Trick question. High level members don't do either. Lower level guys clean/store theirs for them.

Affirmative action needs to end. Even if qualified, there's a looming cloud of doubt about their abilities. It's unfair to everyone.

You are calling for affirmative action to get more males, and probably more white males into the cohort. I know that you due to your lack of awareness, you can’t see that, but the fact is that you assume that women have lower qualifications, and that non-white people have lower qualifications. You assume the supremacy of the white male in all things. That’s your problem, bitch.

On an individual basis, it's an assumption. Overall it is note. Women with lower MCATS and grade points will get in before a white male with better numbers. In terms of qualification requirements to get in Black female< Black male < non-asian minority female < non-asian minority male = White female < White/Asian male.

Support it or not, it is blatantly racist. I'm not sure how that's even debatable. I really don't care if 98% of doctors are Asian if they are the most qualified

No, motherf*cker, we’re calling for an end to the affirmative action that has caused this demographic skew in the FIRST place.

Highest qualified candidates, the end.

Enjoy your OB/Gyn

“IM GONNA BE A BLACK GAY FEMALE OBGYN DOCTAH

Everything I've worked for over the past 12 years and more. All the people telling me I couldn't do it with a 2.55 GPA or a barely passing Step 1 score. All the no's.

This is a surreal feeling.”

Wrong. Doing away with affirmative action would result in more white males in med school than there is currently.

Of all things that should be merit based with no AA bullshite, it's medicine. The current problems are compounding by excellent white male students avoiding the field of medicine altogether. It's hard enough to get in. Even harder to get desirable residencies. Why chance it and end up doing something you don't want to do?

What they have done is frozen re-imbursement over the last 15 years. Now you have a bunch of people in med school that are just glad to be there and are willing to work for less because they know they aren't worth more.

Of course, that can be good for us that have had time to establish ourselves and can command top dollar by being choosey about insurances we deal with or even not accepting them entirely. Won't be long until insurance will only be accepted by inferior doctors while those of us at the top of the heap only see those that can afford our services.

Oh no it isn’t fake. Check her twitter ,she is damn proud and all the people congratulating her don’t get it. “You sure proved them wrong.”

She is even going after the teacher that told her she wouldn’t get in with those scores. Little did the teacher know………

Too be honest, if you have a 2.55 GPA in med school, you probably didn't need to be in med school. It's really not that hard to make B's. Hell, I never made a B on a test. It's mostly all memorization from the syllabus. Sorry if it offends anyone, but it you make less than a B average at med schools not scoring on a curve, you're not very intelligent or your lazy. Neither makes for a good doctor.

I graduated in 2000 and thought the minimal threshold to be a practicing physician was too low then. Now? It's ridiculous.
