If I am reading the CDC’s data correctly, they are stating that the symptomatic case fatality ratio could range from 0.01 to as low as 0.004.
And that is using multiple different assumptions for each value.

Yes. They are making projections built on how they interpret the data available. That is why their numbers are all over the place.
I'm sure the OP wasn't a huge fan when the CDC was pimping 600k deaths.

My beef isn't with the CDC projections, per se. They are just projections.
We see a different one of these every day or so now. Saying this is as bad as the flu is just disingenuous. The death toll in 2 of the last 3 months has proven than.
I have no idea what death toll to believe. I do believe that they are overestimated, but no clue by how much.
