Yeah, the thunderstorm school cancellations are dumb. But South LA is not able to handle any ice on the roads. This is one time when cancellation is warranted.

I had to look at their Facebook page and over a 1000 comments from some extremely pissed off parents.

I don’t know him, but I heard he is a really good guy and people who work with him/under him love him.
This is/was a disaster though. He will learn from it and get better for it.

Really bad look that after tons of teenagers on twitter were bitching and calling the school board members every name in the book.....then they make the decision to close school tomorrow lol

As for the school format changing to distance learning, like I said from the get go, the decision to have on campus schooling made no sense to me. Whatever the case, he and Mike Cooper being on different pages was a odd. It sounded as though he was waiting for approval from the parish. Perhaps it was a simple miscommunication, I don’t know the inner workings. What I do know is that Mike Cooper is a really good guy (I know him well).
I guess with info being dumped all at once, something forced the change in plans.
As stated earlier...

It is completely idiotic for St. Tammany to close. There is no freeze there at all tomorrow until after 6 pm
